Two books in one. Enjoy them on their own, then read them side-by-side to see the full story.
Belle and Grandpa are the best of friends. But Mom says Grandpa Jack can't come to visit for a while, and everything is different.

Belle lives with her family in the city. Grandpa Jack lives alone in the snowy mountains. Being apart is hard—they miss each other more than anything. When a teddy bear from Grandpa Jack arrives to keep Belle safe, it means the whole world to her.

But Belle worries about her Grandpa. Will he be okay? And when will they be together again?

Opening the book reveals two books inside: one that follows Belle in the city, and another that shows us Grandpa Jack in the snowy mountains. The beautifully illustrated stories can be read on their own as well as side-by-side.

We'll Be Together Again is a unique reading experience and a heart-warming story for anyone who knows how it feels to be separated from their loved ones.

Preschool-Grade 2 "One Book, Two Stories" reads a banner on this unusual picture book. Bound on both right and left sides, this sturdy volume opens outward from the middle of the front cover to reveal two sets of tall, narrow pages. In one story, Belle, a girl who lives with her parents in the city, misses her beloved Grandpa Jack. In the other, Grandpa lives in the country and misses his granddaughter, Belle. Though he "can't visit her right now" (a mask hangs beside the door), he sends her a teddy bear. Belle receives it with joy and sends him one in return. When Grandpa can finally visit, he drives to Belle's home, where the family and their stories unite in one big happy ending on a shared, double-gatefold page. Though the two stories can be read individually, the interplay between the two texts ensures that they work even better together, with each page turn on the left side followed by one on the right. Bright, vivid digital illustrations capture the characters' emotions as they endure separation and enjoy a happy reunion. A pleasing choice for reading aloud.
